Sandy Saulteaux Spiritual Centre, Beausejour, MB
Registration is open soon. Space is limited, reserve your spot early to join us for this special weekend aligned with the sacred energy of Ganesh Chaturthi.

Step into clarity, courage, and new beginnings with Shell & Anton.
Join us for a transformative all-inclusive weekend retreat devoted to the wisdom and presence of Ganesha, the beloved remover of obstacles and guardian of thresholds.
As we gather near the auspicious celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi, we will explore the deeper meaning of obstacles: both those we perceive in the outer world and those that arise within. Through the lens of Yoga philosophy, we will reflect on the teachings of the Yoga Sutras, examining the classical obstacles (Antarayas) and obstructions (Kleshas) that can cloud the mind and disrupt our path, and learning how to move through them with awareness and grace.
Together, we will immerse ourselves in the stories, symbolism, and energy of Ganesha, discovering ways to connect with his qualities of wisdom, resilience, and playful strength. This retreat invites you to gently clear what stands in your way and open to new possibilities.

Location: Sandy Saulteaux Spiritual Centre is located near Beausejour, Manitoba on 36 peaceful acres of wooded parkland beside the Brokenhead River.
Schedule: Arrive Friday between 5:30-6:30pm for room check in. We'll gather at 7pm for our first session. We'll be together until 2pm Sunday.
Our days will weave together:
-
Asana practice: Grounded, steady poses and Mudras designed to cultivate strength, stability, and openness, supporting the body as we release tension and create space for new pathways.
-
Pranayama & Meditation: Practices to calm the fluctuations of the mind and bring awareness to the subtle obstacles within, creating clarity and inner steadiness.
-
Chanting & Kirtan: Learn and chant Ganesha Mantras such as the Ganesha Gayatri and “Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha,” invoking the energy of removal of obstacles and inviting flow, ease, and protection.
-
Philosophical Discussions: Explore the obstacles described in the Yoga Sutras, such as doubt, distraction, and inertia, and how they show up in modern life. We’ll reflect on how Ganesha’s symbolism offers practical and spiritual tools to navigate these challenges.
-
Puja, Storytelling & Reflection: Hear traditional stories of Ganesha that illuminate his nature as a guide through difficulty. Through puja (ceremonial offerings), journaling and group sharing, we’ll connect these teachings to our own lived experiences.
Nourishment will come from five wholesome vegetarian meals, shared in community, along with the simple gifts of fresh air, mindful walks, and time in nature.
Together, we will create a supportive space for reflection, release, and renewal, while building meaningful connections with others on a similar path.
This retreat is an opportunity to soften resistance, move through what holds you back, and step forward with greater clarity, trust, and intention.
